2019 Advance Schedule

Please read over the schedule carefully. It is important you make your deadlines for finding your story and are available for the entire workshop weekend.

You MUST have a story approved and ready to go for the start of the workshop on March 14th, 2019. We will start at noon on Thursday with some basic training and introductions. Try to plan to do the bulk of your recording on Friday. If your story requires you to be there for part of Thursday, or even Saturday morning, we can accommodate that. But you need to leave time to edit!

Story research and proposals:

February 8 – By this date students should have presented at least three ideas to one of the faculty.

February 22 – By this date students have selected their story – and gotten it approved by a faculty member, contacted subjects and confirmed their availability.

March 1st – (Before leaving for break) You’ve presented one of us a written story proposal with detailed information about your subject, potential shooting schedule for during the workshop, and a brief synopsis of what you see as the story.

TBA – OPTIONAL training session in Carnegie 006. Come with your questions about gear or software.
