The 2017 Keystone Multimedia Workshop was held in State College June 1 - 3, 2017. Information about Keystone 2018 will be available this winter.

How much does the workshop cost?

For 2017 
(2018 information will be available early in 2018)

$215 for Pennsylvania Newspaper Association members and Ohio News Photographer Association members
$115 for Pennsylvania college students
$315 for non-members and for out-of-state participants.

How do I register for the workshop?

Registration will open early in 2018

Should I bring my own equipment?

We suggest you bring your own gear so you can train with the gear you will actually use.
We strongly recommend bringing an external hard drive so you can bring your files home with you.
We will also have gear available. Nikon will generously be providing DSLR video kits for participants to use during the workshop. We will also have a limited number of tripods and mics for you to share.

The lab at Innovation Park has Mac computers.

If your laptop is capable of editing video, feel free to bring it along. Free demo versions of popular video editing software are available online, so you can test before you buy. If you’re not sure if your laptop is powerful enough to edit on, email us.

What gear will you have for me to use?

Nikon will be providing DSLR cameras and lenses for shooting still and video. Please contact us if you have a specific need.  We will have tripods and a limited number of wireless mic kits available.

We will also have a some Nikon 360 cameras on hand!  Curious about 360 VR video? Come give it a try!

What about housing and meals?

Participants are on their own for meals during the workshop. There are many restaurants in all price ranges within a short drive of the facilities.

The Penn Stater Hotel is next door to the workshop. There also many other hotels located a short drive from Innovation Park.
